Our Policies
At Top Shades, our goal is to make every step of your experience seamlessand stress free. Below you’ll find an overview of our policies covering quotes, orders, deliveries, returns, and warranty support.
Quotes
Quotes are valid for 15 days from the date they are issued. To place an order, simply email us the quote with its reference number, and we’ll send back an order confirmation before production begins. If any changes are needed, we ask that you contact our team within 24 hours of receiving the confirmation — otherwise, the order will move into production automatically. For time-sensitive jobs, rush production may be available.
Orders

production begins, an order confirmation will be emailed. You must contact our team
within 24 hours of receiving this confirmation if you need to make changes. Otherwise,
the order will be processed as confirmed, and you’ll receive an estimated completion
date.
For customers who prefer to hold an order before production, we are happy to
accommodate — just contact our team with your request.
Rush Orders
We understand urgent timelines. If we are able to accommodate a rush request, we willcomplete the job as soon as possible with our schedule.
Sample Shades
For large orders, sample shades are available at 50% off. Once we receive a qualifying
large order, the cost of the sample shades will be credited toward your total bill.
Shipping & Delivery
Delivery: We have a flat rate of 25$ for delivery.
Pickup: Available from our Union City, NJ facility at no charge, starting the day after the confirmed completion date. You MUST give us a call before coming to pickup.
If packing by apartment or floor is requested, additional fees may apply depending on quantity and complexity.
Returns & RMAs
All returns must be pre-approved and accompanied by a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. RMAs should be requested from our office prior to returning an item for repair, cut-down, or credit. Once returned, we will inspect the shade.
If a manufacturing defect is found, we will repair or remake the shade at no cost. If damage is due to installer or customer error, we will inform you of the cost to repair or replace the product. Shades returned without an RMA will not be processed.
Motor Return Policy
Motorized components must also be approved for return via an RMA. Credit for motors is subject to the manufacturer’s warranty.
Warranty
We offer a 14-day limited warranty on all products we manufacture or sell. This covers defects in materials or workmanship. It does not apply to damage from normal wear and tear or user/installer-related issues. Warranty service will be honored only after the original product is returned to us — unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Accounts & Payment Terms
Orders are invoiced upon completion. If your account balance exceeds your credit limit, we may place a hold on future orders until the balance is resolved. While we strive to notify customers of account holds, failure to receive a notice does not exempt you from this policy.
For COD accounts, payment is required at the time of pickup or delivery. Orders will not be shipped or released if an open balance remains.
Order Revisions & Cancellations
If you need to cancel or make changes to your order, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible.
Once an order enters production, cancellation may not be possible. While we’ll always do our best to accommodate your request, approval will depend on the stage of production and the specific situation.
Estimated Completion Dates
After an order is placed, you will receive an email with the Estimated Date of Completion, which is also available on our online portal. In the event of supplier-related delays, we will update you via email.
